Latest successes include: Developer was appealling against refusal to build 158 new homes on outskirts of Ratby village in Leicestershire. David acted as the expert landscape witness for Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council.

The Inspector stated in his decision…“The appeal site is ordinary countryside, but it has visual value and provides space for walking, jogging and other forms of informal recreation. I conclude that the development would amount to a substantial extension of built development into open countryside, harmful to the character and appearance of the landscape, and would conflict with ‘saved’ Policies RES5 and NE5 of the Hinckley and Bosworth Local Plan 2001.”
